Getting Started with Google Cloud web

Introduction

The Google Cloud console helps you deploy, scale, and diagnose production issues in a simple web-based interface. You can manage and get insights into everything that powers your cloud application — including web applications, data analysis, virtual machines, datastore, databases, networking, and developer services.

What we are going to cover?

We will cover logging in to the Google Cloud Console and getting familiar with it.

Steps to setup and create a new project

1. Click here to login to your Google Cloud Console

2. Create a new project to be used during this training. Click on the menu at the top and select NEW PROJECT from the modal window

3. Give the project the same name as your unique name that has been generated for you on the student VM

4. Ensure the project is set as current active project

5. Navigate around and use the search feature that allows you to quickly search and access resources within Google Cloud
